UNICEF Launches Cryptocurrency Fund

UNICEF has launched a crypto fund to receive, hold and distribute donations of Bitcoin and Ether in its aim to back open source technology for children around the world.

The first contributions to the Cryptocurrency Fund come from the Ethereum Foundation.

UNICEF Executive Director Henrietta Fore:

“If digital economies and currencies have the potential to shape the lives of coming generations, it is important that we explore the opportunities they offer. ”

$10 Billion in BTC Is Held in Wallets of 8 Crypto Exchanges

Almost 7% of the entire circulating supply of Bitcoin is held in the wallets of eight major cryptocurrency exchanges, according to Twitter account The Token Analyst.

An accompanying graph shows that Huobi Group is leading the pack of crypto exchanges, with the most amount of BTC in its wallets. Binance and BitMEX are battling it out for second place.

Telegram Finally Confirms It’s Behind TON Blockchain

After raising $1.7 billion last year and maintaining almost complete silence since, Telegram is finally going public with its involvement in the Telegram Open Network (TON).

The first mention of TON and its tokens appeared on Telegram’s official website Tuesday morning in the form of a terms of service (ToS) for the token’s wallet app.
