U.S. Senate Schedules Another Hearing On Crypto

After last week’s hearing about Facebook’s Libra project, the U.S Senate has scheduled another hearing to gather more information about cryptocurrencies. The hearing is scheduled for July 30 and will gather legal experts and representatives of the cryptocurrency space. The hearing starts at 10 EST, will be broadcasted live and will see Jeremy Allaire CEO of Circle presenting the case decentralized assets. U.S regulation and Blockchain innovation is still lacking behind, comparing it to other countries and with many politicians still being skeptic about the new technology, this is not expected to change very soon.

Justin Sun Apologizes For Overmarketing

Tron CEO and founder, Justin Sun, has published an apology for “overmarketing” his charity lunch with billionaire investor Warren Buffet. Sun published a public letter on Weibo, a Chinese social media site, citing he had to postpone the launch with Buffet due to “medical reasons”. There have been many rumours circulating around Sun in the last few days, saying that he is on the Chinese border control list and that he is under surveillance of the Chines government. Sun finished his letter, by saying he will now minimize his public appearances to “contemplate the overmarketing issues”.

It’s Alt-Coin Season

The cryptocurrency market has been flashing green again over the last 24 hours. Bitcoin is up 3.80%, rising above the $10,000 mark again, currently trading at $10,100. Most Alt-coins have seen a bigger rise in price with the likes of Ethereum and EOS rising 7.33% and 10.14% likewise. All top 20 currencies were in the green and Monero was the “worst performer” only gaining 1 percent.
