Jack Dorsey buys Bitcoin every week
In a recent podcast interview the CEO of Twitter Jack Dorsey alluded to spending 10.000 USD per week on buying Bitcoin. Dorsey is a famous Bitcoin bull. He is well-known for his belief that Bitcoin is the Internet’s native currency and that virtual currencies are the future of legitimate global payments. There is some controversy about the claim. The podcast host quickly pointed out that these statements do not mean that Jack Dorsey buys that amount of Bitcoin every week and blamed mainstream media of poor reporting.
Ripple CEO dismisses JPM Coin
Brad Garlinghouse, the CEO of Ripple, dismissed the likelihood of JPM Coin ever gaining adoption by other banks and questioned it’s usefulness. He also stated that a bank creating its own stablecoin recreates the very same problems that DLT (Decentralized Ledger Technology) is supposed to solve.
His comments sparked some controversy, given that there is also discussion around #XRP’s neutrality.
Binance Coin continues rally
Binance Coin (BNB) continues the rally it started this year. Securing the 7th position in market cap as listed on Coinmarketcap and breaking above 15 USD per coin.
The coin has gained 170% year to date and is deviating strongly from Bitcoin’s price trend. It’s very rare to see an altcoin outperform the rest of the market so strongly
And of course Binance’s famous CEO also had something to say about it:
