Coindesk reports that the South Korean electronics giant Samsung is developing its own blockchain network, possibly issuing its own ‘Samsung Coin’ further down the road.

Samsung’s blockchain task force has been active for at least a year and they are working on a number of projects. Such as their flagship Galaxy S10 smartphone which can store cryptocurrency private keys.

XRP sales grew 31% in Q1 2019

Ripple has reported a 31% increase in sales of their XRP token in the first three months of 2019. The biggest growth was realized in institutional sales and programmatic sales.

Besides the positive news Ripple also reported a slight decrease of the global trading volumes in XRP and in year-on-year figures XRP sales have not grown significantly.

Also, Q1 2019 saw the lowest volatility in XRP since Q4 2013. With the price hovering around 0,30 USD.

John McAfee backs out of revealing Satoshi Nakamoto

Earlier this week John McAfee announced he knows who Satoshi Nakamoto is and stated he would reveal his identity:

But in a recent turn of events he backed out of the reveal, because he was advised by his lawyer not to do so. Although skeptics believe he never knew the identity in the first place.
