Over 1.000 crypto miners given licenses in Iran
Iran has given more than 1.000 licenses to cryptocurrency miners in the country, an official from ICT Guild Organization has said.
The country has long been attractive to miners due to cheap power: only $0.11 per KWh of energy. However, the crypto mining industry has the potential to add $8.5 billion to Iran’s economy.
Crypto firms pitch in to help Coronavirus victims
Cryptocurrency exchange Binance pledged to donate 10 million Chinese yuan ($1.44) million to the effort to help victims of the coronavirus in Wuhan, China.
Also blockchain firm Krypital launched a charity donation effort to acquire medical supplies.
Bitcoin bounces back to 8.600 USD
After spending a few days trading in the 8.200 to 8.400 USD range, Bitcoin is trying to push through the 8.500 to 8.650 USD resistance zone.
Meanwhile, BTC recovered its price to 8.622 USD.
