Only 14% of crypto exchanges regulated

Another shocking report about crypto exchanges has been published by Coinfirm, a London based tech firm. The report stated that only 14 percent of 216 global crypto exchanges were confirmed as being licensed regulators. The analyzed exchanges made up 90 percent of global crypto activity and included all of the top 10 biggest exchanges. The study further noted that 69 percent did not have “complete and transparent” Customer Due Dilligence and KYC procedures, while only 26 percent introduced AML procedures.

KuCoin enables credit card purchases

Singapore based crypto exchange KuCoin has announced that it will let it’s users purchase cryptocurrencies via credit card. The exchange partnered up with Simplex, a payment provider which already has successful ties with Shapeshift and the Litecoin foundation. The service has already been added to the site and users can purchase Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Bitcoin Cash ABC and Litecoin for both euros and dollars. Earlier this year, Malta based exchange Binance introduced this feature as well, also working together with Simplex.

Booking An Airbnb With Crypto

Sweden based cryptocurrency gift card provider Bitrefill has announced an interesting new service that allows users to book an Airbnb with cryptocurrency. Users can buy Airbnb gift cards with Bitcoin, Ether, Litecoin, Dogecoin and Dash and these cards can then be used to book a stay. Last week, the company also announced cryptocurrency support for Netflix subscriptions and is planning to add this service to many more sites.

Bitcoin stays above $4,000

Most top 20 coins have been trading sideways during the last 24 hours, with nearly all of them noting gains between 0.5 and 1%. Bitcoin managed to stay above the important $4,000 mark and is currently trading at $4,050. Ethereum remains the biggest Altcoin and is currently trading at $140. Top performer of the day is Cardano noting a gain of 5.21%.
