France to test its Digital Currency in 2020
The central bank of France plans to pilot a central bank digital currency for financial institutions in the first quarter of 2020.
The project aims to assert France’s sovereignty over private digital currency initiatives like Facebook’s stablecoin Libra.
Bakkt CEO to become US senator in Georgia
Kelly Loeffler, CEO of Bakkt, will serve Georgia as a U.S. senator starting January 2020. She will step down from her post at Bakkt after 16 years.
Loeffler was not Trump’s preferred choice and has received criticism from conservatives.
Bitcoin is trading around 7.400 USD
After a spike to almost 7.800 USD, Bitcoin is now trading around 7.400 USD.
