Crypto-stealing malware infected 80.000 computers
The Microsoft research team shares insights on a new cryptocurrency-stealing malware, called Dexphot, that has infected close to 80.000 computers.
The malware installs a coin miner that silently steals computer resources and generates revenue for the attackers.
Bittrex denies it contacted Ukranian government
A Ukranian government official said that Bittrex and Coinbase sought to collaborate with the Ukrainian government on developing the country’s cryptocurrency industry.
Oddly enough, a Bittrex spokesperson said no one from Bittrex has been in contact with an official of the Ukrainian government.
Bitcoin hovers around 7.000 USD
Bitcoin was trading around 8.100 USD 7 days ago. Today, Bitcoin is still down around 15% from this price, hovering around 7.000 USD.
