China digital currency launch in 6–12 months

China will definitely deploy its new digital currency within the next 6 months to a year, Edith Cheung of Proof of Capital said.

China remains in the spotlight because president Xi Jinping stated that China should embrace the opportunities blockchain and cryptocurrencies provide.

More than 1.6 million Bitcoins are lost

According to Coin Metrics, more than 1.6 million bitcoins have been lost forever, either through duplicate transactions, unclaimed rewards, or thefts.

Despite these numbers are just estimates, it still shows that Bitcoin is getting scarcer with each passing day.

Gatehub compromises passwords of 1.4 million users

Personal information of 1.4 million GateHub cryptocurrency wallet users has been dumped online.

The stolen information includes registered email addresses, passwords, two-factor authentication keys, mnemonic phrases and wallet hashes.
