CCN Does U-Turn
Crypto news site CCN has announced, that they will reconsider the decision to shut down, which was made last Monday. CCN saw it’s traffic drop by 70 percent, after Google made changes to their search algorithm and said, that running the site with traffic this low would be unprofitable. The site now said, that they got in touch with Google and that the problem involved the old domain name “CryptoCoinsNews.com”, which was being flagged. A definitive decision on the future of the site has yet to be made, but it seems like the problem is fixable. Monday’s announcement also claimed, that other crypto news sites like Cointelegraph were also affected by the changes, however Cointelegraph said, that this was not true.
John MacAfee Launches Crypto Exchange
Cybersecurity expert and Crypto-Maniac John MacAfee has launched his own cryptocurrency exchange. The site is dubbed MacAfee Magic and will be a non custodial exchange, which means that users will be able to trade on eight different exchanges via MacAfee Magic, but that funds will remain on the original exchanges. Users will need to plug Api’s from these eight exchanges, to be able to trade. The portal also offers “shadow trading”, in which users pay to get their trades mimicked by “pro-level” traders. The exchange was already under attack by hackers, before it even launched and the crypto community’s reaction to the new project seemed very hostile, so investing into this new exchange can only be described as very risky.
Major Cryptocurrencies See Green
Apart from Litecoin, all top cryptocurrencies have seen their price increasing over night. Bitcoin managed to break past the $8,000 mark, which it failed to breach for a few days prior. The largest cryptocurrency is up 1.62% on the day and is currently trading at $8,100. Top performer of the day was Bitcoin SV, once again, rising by almost 14 percent and showing very high trade volumes. Binance Coin also performer very well, rising by 5.55% and reaching a new all time high of $35.38.
