Today, 31 October 2019, exactly 11 years ago the whitepaper for the first fully decentralized, peer-to-peer electronic cash was released by anonymous creator(s) Satoshi Nakomoto.

Bitcoin thermocap approaches 15 billion USD
Data from Coin Metrics released on 15 October noted that since Bitcoin’s birth in 2009, miners had received combined revenue of just under $15 billion.
”The thermocap” includes block rewards — new bitcoins paid to miners for validating a block of transactions — and transaction fees. Transaction fees broke the $1 billion mark this week.
Bitcoin is trading around 9.000 USD
After last weekend's 42% price jump to 10.300 USD, Bitcoin's price fell to 9.000 USD. After another price peak of 9.800 USD on Monday, the cryptocurrency is now trading around 9.000 USD again.
