Bitcoin trades at a premium in Argentina

A shocking defeat for the current president of Argentina in primary elections sent the Argentine peso plummeting. Which in turn resulted in Bitcoin trading at a premium on a local Argentinian Bitcoin exchange.

U.N. investigates 35 North Korean cyber attacks

A U.N. report states that the organisation is investigating at least 35 hacks in 17 countries that might have been carried out by North Korea.

South Korea suffered the most attacks. The nation’s Bithumb crypto exchange has reportedly been hacked at least four times.

Besides targeting crypto exchanges, North Korean hacking experts also carried out attacks on the SWIFT bank messaging network.

XRP dips 40% on Beaxy exchange

The newly-launched crypto exchange Beaxy has temporarily suspended trading after some users deliberately crashed the price of XRP on the exchange.

Beaxy experienced a sudden surge in its XRP trading volumes, which caused a large temporary drop in the XRP/BTC price.

Beaxy states it’s working on reclaiming the misplaced funds and reversing suspected transactions.
