Bitcoin Nearly Touches $6,000
After a dramatic week surrounding Bitfinex’s and Tether’s banking problems, Bitcoin shrugged of the news related losses and ended the day in the green again. The coin is currently up by 3.50% and rose to a new all year high earlier today, spiking at $5,920. Most Alt-coins saw even larger gains, with Ethereum being the top performer, up over 10 percent. If Bitcoin manages to hold at this price it could become the new support level and an even further upwards movement can be expected.
Bitcoin Mining Is Becoming More Profitable Again
Bitcoin transaction fees have shot up by almost 200 percent in April. While this is rather undesirable for users, miners in all parts of the world are finally profiting again. Together with the increasing price of Bitcoin, total revenue has increased by 52 percent, from $191 million to $291 million. The total amount of transactions has also been increasing steadily since the start of the year and is almost at a new all time high, which was reached during the bull run in December 2019.
Single Address Makes Up 50% of BCH Trading
One single Bitcoin Cash Address has accounted almost 50 percent of all trades on the network. The address first started making transactions on April 8 and already has made over 575,000 transactions. In the same period the whole network has processed 1,17 million, meaning that the address makes up 49 percent of all of them. The address in continuously making consecutive transactions for the same amount of 0.00000731 BCH, adding up to a total of $19,298 over the span of the whole month. After doing some research, crypto Twitter managed to link the wallet to a computer game, which lets people buy blocks in a virtual world, similar to the popular computer game “Minecraft”.
