Bitcoin fights to hold 8.300 USD support

After three days of trading in a tightening range Bitcoin dropped below the 8.300 USD support.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin worked its way up to 8.440 USD.

Coinbase wallet nears 1 million Bitcoins

US cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase will soon hold a million BTC in its cold wallets in a controversial first for the industry.

According to data from Longhash, Coinbase’s cold wallets contained around 970.000 BTC (8 billion USD) as of 1 January.

4 million BTC has not moved since 2015

Recent research found that unspent transaction outputs are a fantastic indicator of a coin’s buying/selling pressure.

It also revealed that almost 4 million coins have been held for over 5 years, showing that even the most violent price swings didn’t force most investors to run.
