Bitcoin Eyes April Price Gains for Fourth Year Running

April continues to be a very good month for Bitcoin, as the coin is on track to end the month in the green for the fourth year in a row. Bitcoin started of the month at $4,100 and is currently trading at $5,255, posting a gain of around 28 percent. With prices expected to hold around the $5,200 mark, this would also be the third consecutive green month.

On the day, Bitcoin is only up slightly, gaining 1.12%, with all top 20 coins being in the green. Top performers of the day were Ripple and Binance Coin, both gaining around 5.50%. Binance Coin is trading over $20 for the first time in over a year and is slowly approaching it’s all time high of $24 it saw during the bull run in January 2018.

Winklevoss Capital And Charlie Shrem Settle Lawsuit

Early Bitcoin adopters Charlie Shrem and the Winklevoss Twins have settled their lawsuit earlier this month. The twins claimed that Shrem accepted a total of $1 million to buy Bitcoins for them in 2012, but that they were short around 5,000 Bitcoin. At the time Bitcoin was worth around $12,50 and these Bitcoin would now be worth roughly $26 million. The Twins already had to pay for Shrem’s legal fees twice and the two parties now have reached a confidential settlement. If none of the parties files to reopen the case, it will officially be closed down on May 5.

Rakuten Opens Crypto Exchange To Customers

E-Commerce giant Rakuten, Japan’s equivalent to Amazon, has started accepting account registrations for it’s new cryptocurrency exchange. The exchange will be called Rakuten Wallet and is licensed with the Japanese Financial Service Agency. Rakuten added that it will prioritize users who already own an account at Rakuten Bank or who have A Rakuten member ID. It is yet unclear when the exchange will launch and be available to the broad public.
