Bitcoin dips to 6-month low
Bitcoin’s price dropped to 7.000 USD today, its lowest level since May. With this move, it erases the entire rally from $7,293 to $10,350 in October.
The number one cryptocurrency by market value is currently trading around 7.070 USD.
Bakkt to launch Bitcoin futures in Singapore
Bakkt is launching its Singapore-listed bitcoin futures contracts on 9 December, parent firm Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) has announced.
The ICE subsidiary also revealed that it would launch “the first regulated options contract for bitcoin futures” also on 9 December.
China vows to ‘dispose of’ local exchanges
China’s central bank announced it would take new steps to uphold its trading ban.
In response to a rise in trading activity following China’s public endorsement of blockchain technology, China’s central bank and the PBoC vowed to “dispose of” any such activity it discovered under its jurisdiction.
