Bakkt launches Bitcoin options
Barely three months after launching its long-anticipated physically settled Bitcoin futures product, the Intercontinental Exchange’s Bakkt has gone live with its Bitcoin options and cash-settled futures contracts.
Ethereum’s software upgrade
Ethereum went through a significant software upgrade this weekend, called Instanbul. It allowed the integration of a second layer scaling solution that promises to enable more than 3.000 transactions per second.
Bitcoin’s first weekly golden cross in 3.5 years
Bitcoin’s 50 week MA has crossed above the 100 week MA, confirming what is popularly known as a “golden crossover.” The same cross was last observed in May 2016.
Crossovers are widely followed indicators and could attract a significant amount of buying.
