Bakkt hits 5 million USD volume in first week
The highly anticipated bitcoin futures contract from The Intercontinental Exchange accumulated a total trade volume of 5 million dollars in its first week of operation, with a total of 623 Bitcoin future contracts changing hands.
In contrast, Bakkt’s chicago-based rival CME, traded 4.099 Bitcoin future contracts last Friday alone.
Stellar wants to remove inflation
Stellar announced that it intends to remove its inflation feature in a new upgrade.
Developers announced the intention in a blog post and the community is voting about it to obtain consensus.
Stellar included the inflation tool so that projects could gain extra funds from community pay outs. However the situation changed and the plan saw no real-world success.
Bitcoin rebounds to 8.400 USD
After reaching a monthly low on the last day of September around 7.720 USD, Bitcoin rebounded to just above 8.400 USD. The number one cryptocurrency is currently trading at a price around 8.350 USD.
