65% of BTC hash rate power is in China

For all of Bitcoin’s promise of being the world’s first decentralized, peer-to-peer cryptocurrency, 65 percent of the total hash power resides in China.

That’s the highest in at least two years according to a recent report by CoinShares Research.

New regulations force Bottle Pay to shut down

The Bottle Pay service, which allowed users to send Bitcoin via social media accounts, announced on 13 December that it would be shutting down due to Anti-Money Laundering regulations.

Bitcoin hovers around 7.100 USD

8% was shaved off Bitcoin’s price of 7.571,80 USD between 8 December and 14 December.

Now, Bitcoin continues its move downwards as Bitcoin is currently trading around 7.100 USD while it started the weekend with a price level around 7.240 USD.
