What will 2020 bring us?
Bitcoin will support human rights
Alex Gladstein from the Human Rights Foundation believes that financial privacy is essential for a healthy democracy.
In 20 years, when cash becomes extinct, Bitcoin could afford human rights defenders the privacy they need to protest and hold their governments accountable, according to Gladstein.
Nike to tokenize shoes on Ethereum
Shoe manufacturer Nike received a patent to tokenize shoes on the Ethereum blockchain.
Nike stated that it intends to create ERC721 tokens for some shoes. People can unlock these tokens by purchasing physical shoes and these tokens can then be linked with unique owner IDs to signify ownership.
